Project Purim 2017 - Hashem's Candy Store
Welcome to Project Purim 5777 - "Hashem's Candy Store"
About Project Purim:
This is our 5th year running this important Shaarei Tefillah program.
As our shul continues to grow and welcome new families, we are reminded of our responsibility to teach our children and grandchildren the importance of building a strong community that is welcoming and inclusive.
The tradition of giving candy at shul is often a gesture of welcoming and kindness and a reminder of the “sweetness” of Torah learning. Purim, in particular, has become a festival of candy and sweets! As parents, grandparents, and community leaders, we have the unique opportunity to teach our children about Hashem’s candies – delicious and nutritious fruits for us to enjoy! This year we were inspired by a wonderful book called “Hashem’s Candy Store” by Bracha Goetz.
How it Works:
Give to the whole shul: By selecting the whole shul option for $200.00 (and receive a full donation receipt), you are helping to sponsor the costs of purchasing and preparing a basket for all 250 members/families. As well, your name will be included on each members package.
Selecting Individual members: By selecting this option you will pay $10.00 per person whose basket you wish to sponsor/contribute to. Orders must be placed by February 24th for all orders(both shul members and non-shul members baskets). Your name will be included on only those selections.
Buying for non shul members: You can purchase up to 5 pre-made Mishloach Manot for non shul members at $18.00 a basket to be delivered by our volunteers on Purim, provided they fall in our delivery zones (see below). If you wish to purchase more than 5 baskets, or for people outside our delivery zones, you may purchase as many as you wish (to be delivered on your own).
